This graph depicts a simple phenomenon; drag force increases dramatically at speeds above 32 mph.


This means that the FuelSaver will be most beneficial to the long-haul fleets that spend a lot of time operating at highway speeds.

  
NASA CF ANALYSIS  
It all began with research:
Dr. Kassemi, Chief Scientist at NASA Glenn Research Center is a world renowned expert in fluid mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). With a commercially available program (FLUENT), dimensions provided by Freightliner and Wabash National and a 3D CAD technician, Dr. Kassemi developed an enhanced computer model of a typical semi-tractor-trailer system. The drag results produced from this model were very accurate: within 0.8% of wind tunnel measurements.
